Ghanaian Waakye

Waakye (pronounced waa-chay) is Ghana's beloved street food - rice and black-eyed peas cooked with dried sorghum or millet leaves that give it a distinctive reddish-brown color. Served with shito (black pepper sauce), spaghetti, fried plantains, and protein of choice.
